Fall Nissan Maintenance Tasks

The leaves are starting to change, and you know what that means… fall is just around the corner. The start of a new season is also a great reminder that it’s time to complete Nissan maintenance for your vehicle at Woodhouse Place Nissan.
Check Your Fluid Levels
It’s important to always keep an eye on your vehicle’s fluid levels. You want to make sure they are at an acceptable level. If needed, you’ll want to top them off, but also check your owner’s manual to see if you are due for a complete replacement instead.
- Engine oil
- Brake fluid
- Transmission fluid
- Coolant
- Windshield wiper fluid
- Power steering fluid
Inspect Your Tires
Now is also an opportune time to take a careful look at your tires. Do you see any unusual wear? Is your tread at least 4/32 of an inch? Make sure to check your tire pressure too.
And, if you haven’t recently, you should also schedule a tire rotation. You should aim to rotate your tires every 5,000 miles to help limit uneven wear. Well-maintained tires will be ready for slick autumn roads.
Get Ready for Winter Nissan Maintenance
We know it seems silly to start preparing for the winter while the temps are still so high, but it’s a good idea to prepare your vehicle now in case it will need any repairs before the cold weather hits. Check to ensure your heater is working appropriately. And, while you’re at it, add those all-weather floor mats too.
The trained and certified technicians at our Nissan service center in Omaha, NE are happy to help get your vehicle autumn-ready. Give us a call today to set up an appointment for fall Nissan maintenance. We’ll see you soon!
